Business Inventives in the 2008 Economic Stimulus Bill

The Economic Stimulus Bill recently signed by President Bush has received a lot of publicity as it related to personal rebates. Business owners, however, should be aware that capital equipment purchases are also favorably impacted by this bill.

Businesses who wish to expense such purchases in 2008 under Section 179 may do so with the limit being raised from $128,000 to $250,000.

Also, back for the first time in a number of years is an accelerated depreciation provision wherein 50% first year depreciation is now available.

This is only an advisory so please check with your tax accountant for full details and qualifiers.

GM Gas Engines - A viable, cost-effective, alternative

Check out GM's all-new web site for information on the only gas engines designed for medium-duty trucks.

Visit www.whygas.com for engine specs, model availability, and gas-diesel comparisons. For lower-mileage applications where the payback for diesel engines is many years, GM's 8.1L Vortec® may just be the answer. With power, torque, high design life, and much improved fuel economy, gas is proving to be a real money-saving option for many applications, with diesel fuel costing around $.50 per gallon more than regular unleaded and the far higher cost of the new 2007 emission diesel engines.

2007 Chevy Vans Offer More

Chevy vans offer the widest range of offerings, from the powerful Vortec® engines and the class-leading Duramax turbo-diesel, to the exclusive extended van and AWD full-size van.

The following matrix could save you money and/or troubles down the road by assisting you in determining the proper model for your specific application. How much weight do you need to carry and/or how much room do you require?

Note the inclusion of the:

  • EXCLUSIVE full-size AWD (All Wheel Drive) vans.
  • EXCLUSIVE left-side cargo doors.
  • EXCLUSIVE express access.
